I just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate Kay Wilson from Durham on not only her regional volunteer award but also being recognised nationally. I am so pleased such a dedicated volunteer in our region has been successful in this category.
I also wish to congratulate all the grand prix winners, especial congratulations to the overall winners Denise Parkin and Alan Copland, hope you enjoy the regional presentation evening, which this year unfortunately I can’t make.
Thanks to everyone who may have been involved in my nomination for the Unsung Hero award. I have been short listed to the final 3 and will keep everyone informed.
Also if you wish to be cheered up in the New Year some may be aware I have just returned from Argentina filming a new BBC1 game show, Total Wipe Out. The programme starts Saturday 3rd January with my appearance being on 24th January.
Finally may I thank everyone for their support this year and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
