16/06/2009 -The One Life Northumberland Triathlon

On this coming Sunday we will see the biggest triathlon ever held in the north-east – The One Life Northumberland Triathlon incorporating the National Age-Group Championships. This is a fantastic achievement by Paul Jones and his One Life team and after the disaster that overcame last year’s race, which was wiped out by those incredible floods, I’m sure we all wish the team the very best of luck this year.

However, even the best organised events cannot survive on goodwill alone. Volunteers are urgently required.

Hi

Less than a week to go and then my stress levels will reduce.
I know some of you have been kind enough to volunteer to help out over the weekend of 20th / 21st June.

On Saturday we only have to contend with registration. Any help for that would be appreciated between 13:00 and 17:00 (even if you can only do an hour) - you would then get a free ticket to the pasta party!

On the Sunday all help appreciated. If anyone is able to volunteer for the Sunday I can make use of you! If anyone is really keen I could do with four or five keen beans to help with marshalling transition (as athletes come in to set up their equipment) from 7am!

I would need everyone else there for a marshals briefing at 08:15am.

If you could let me know as soon as possible if you can help out that would be great - would also appreciate if you could pass this message on amongst your networks.
