Northern Pulse

Special Reports

Welcome to our “Special Reports” section. This is where triathletes from the North-East who compete at major events in the UK or abroad can share their experiences with the rest of us. This is especially useful if you are contemplating competing at any of these events and wish to know of any potential problems before you commit yourself.

We will welcome any stories to add to this section. Simply send your copy in to Northern Pulse preferably in word form as an attachment to an e-mail. If you have any photo’s taken during the event we will be delighted to include these too. Please attach them as jpeg’s.

Also in this section we have “Arthur’s Seat”. Not, as you may think a visitor’s guide to Edinburgh but more a visitor’s guide to the torture hotspots of the world! Arthur Puckrin, of Cleveland Tri Club is, in the words of Eric Blakie, “the Obi Wan Kenobi of the Northern Region”. He has re-written the rules on suffering! Arthur has shared his journeys through many a multi-ironman distance race with us for the last three years.

Some of his experiences really will make your eyes water! In his latest report entitled "Life Before Triathlon" he tells us of his early sporting achievements - any one of which would satisfy most of us. Keep them coming Arthur!
